A new Home...

We have moved…. And yes… it nearly killed me… or should I say I nearly killed everyone around me… we had a plan in place… the perfect plan… and yes you can all laugh now but it was not funny… a huge storm came threw and left us with no power…  sheesh… what a mess… everything was late or early… but we made it with help …after a desperate call to Kathy… and I didn’t have a backup plan…

but before the big move...
We had the family over for Australia Day for a swim and a BBQ… our last hurrah…

And Ta da… baby Willow… born the 30th weighing 7lb 14oz at 8.53am… such a tiny treasure… congratulations… mum and dad…

our Grandbaby number 5...

On the 6th we dropped Robbie’s Quilt at Fiona's place to be quilted… It was a perfect day and a very long trip…

Backing

Wow… these came... we had professional photo take on our cruise… ta da…

On the subject of selling our friend Diane has also sold and we had our last sewing day at her place… it was a bit hot so we ventured outside… it was such a lovely day

Till next time…Cheerers for now and thanks for stopping by… Robyn…

and sorry for my tardiness... it has been a tough few weeks... we have no internet but I am using my Hotspot on my phone...

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year...

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year… it was a very sad yet exciting year… lots of new and wonderful experiences… along with the sad and heartbreaking…

Robbie’s Quilt visited its new bed and it looks like it had made itself right at home…
and she just loves it and although it is yet to be quilted… by the amazing Fiona from  Bubzrugs

it is looking spectacular ….

Its new owner is a very good friend of mine and we traveled to Wooli NSW to stay a few days…  we had breakfast out the front with the river as our view…

One of the days we went exploring and took a drive to The Sandon…while Robbie rested… we had the expected stop for a cuppa at MacLean and then off through Brooms Head and onto The Sandon… we thought we could cross to the opposite side…. Ummm no… maybe by BOAT… not even on low tide…

Sunshine just had to come to explore also…

For the New Year we stayed on a boat …. We moored just north of Sea World… so close we could hear the sea lions… and saw most of the firework that filled the night sky from Paradise Point to Surface Paradise… and saw the 8 o’clock show and stayed up for the midnight ones… and just to top it all off we were lucky as the barge, with the fire works were only 100 ft away… so amazing to be so close…

Till next time…Cheerers for now and thanks for stopping by… Robyn…

Lunching...

Lunching… Not much stitching to blog about but lots of cutting (I will explain) … a small group of sewing friends enjoyed a lunch at Green Frog Hollow… yum yum yum it was perfect… thanks everyone…

With sewing…. Well… Cutting cutting and just a tiny bit if cutting…as I mentioned before but these beautiful Roses are for Robbie’s Quilt…

One row sorted…. Another to go... but its looking very nice…

then I need to blanket stitch around them… sheesh

With all the Christmas celebrations going on I was inspired to find this and finish it… thanks I am … its Oh Christmas Tree by Angles in Disguise … I know its older… but…. is just so cute...

I found it… right where I left it…. in the compendium that I made to keep safe…

the compendium found a perfect home in this…. Something I saved from the bin… the story behind the bag is sad but here goes…… many years ago, I helped my mum clean out my Nannas home as she had become frail and ill and needed constant care… so we moved her into an aged care unit and that’s how I saved this before it reached the bin… My Nan would be so proud…

I am a short and sweet sort of girl...

WHO… they named he/she WHO… a baby owl… it must have tried to fly and it didn’t work out … we found him/herself like this on the ground at a friend’s place… we promptly found a cardboard box and covered him/her from predators and it giving him/her a chance to hide… later the next day they found him/her perched in a tree next to a bigger owl… we are sure it was a mum or dad… so all good news … now the baby owl is enjoying the local night life…

Cheerers for now and thanks for stopping by… Robyn… thanks all and Merry Christmas
